Screen Refresh Rate: We have all seen the 120Hz listed on the TV. Basically, what this refers to is how many times per second the TV screen is completely reconstructed. For example; You buy a TV with a 60Hz, your picture will reconstruct 60 times per second. The more the screen is refreshed, the smoother the images will appear.
Vertical Resolution: We see the 1080p on the details listed below the TV. To display the picture, there are vertical lines. One on top of each other. With in those lines the pixels are displayed. Vertical resolution is the total number of lines counted from top to bottom of your screen. (EXAMPLE: 1080p has 1,080) The greater the number, the better the picture.
ENERGY STAR: If you see this, that means that according EPA this qualifies your TV to use 30% less electricity than your standard models. LESS ELECTRIC = LESS MONEY TO BE PAID EVERY MONTH!
HDMI Inputs: This carries both Digital Video and Audio (up to 1080p) in a cable. It provides the highest-quality connection between the TV and all other techknowledge plugged into it (game consoles, DVD players, etc). The more inputs, the more you can plug directly. Hooking things up just become so much easier!
*****Plasma has always had the better quality, but now LCD has caught up. They both range in different sizes now so this really is not a deciding factor. The only way to really decide what is right for you is to look at the details provided and knowing what the information is telling you.
